Note the Design function will be implemented in the next HydroSWMM version. Basically, it will do the following:

 

During the Design procedure (also referred to as Planning Analysis), the model is simulated several times. At the end of each simulation iteration decisions are made according to predefined design parameters. For example, if a model entity such as a conduit is found to have insufficient spare capacity, the size will be increased to the next available diameter (from a preloaded list of options in the cost function tables). This will continue until no further upgrades are required or until the maximum number of design iterations are achieved.
