The Select Up-stream function selects all links/nodes in the network upstream (i.e. in the direction towards the source) of a specified (selected) link/node. Note this menu item is not yet implemented in HydroSWMM 6, but the function can already be accessed via a right-click menu (when right-clicking on the selected link/node).
